In June 2017, Montcrest Asset Management (formerly known as NYX Capital Corp.) assembled 4.6 acres of residential and commercial land located at 51 & 57 Tannery Street and 208 Emby Drive, Mississauga. Montcrest worked to rezone the property for 147 townhomes. However, since the Region of Peel has designated the property as a future Major Transit Station Area, further value can be created by rezoning the site to allow residential buildings. The new proposal is to construct two 15-storey mid-ride residential buildings with a gross construction area of approximately 588,000 square feet on the subject site.
The property is in the heart of Streetsville and is only 400 metres away from the Streetsville Go Station. The location presents a rare opportunity to create a modern residential, transit-oriented community within a neighbourhood known for its walkability, natural heritage, and small-town charm.
